Terrible tactical decision that had to be made to ensure I didn't die even quicker to air strikes. To make matters worse, due to the spawn positioning I was forced to abandon that flank solely because I began the battle with no AA support on that side. Even more so, I feel that my setup and positioning with friendlies should have made it very difficult for a single enemy CV to make meaningful repeated strikes, but it didn't. PC games at their most basic should be fun, not an exercise in frustration. I left that battle saying to myself "That absolutely sucked I had no fun at all". Short down a total of 8 planes with full AA spec captain, modules, fighter consumable, sector swaps and friendly support. I took a grand total of 12 torps, multiple fires from HE bombs and died with 1 kill and 35k damage. Nice overlapping AA setup, still the planes are somehow able to make it through. Ok, no biggie - I catch up with a friendly Buffalo, Fletcher and GK. We were immediately targeted by the enemy Midway, and even with fighter consumable active and swapping AA sectors, I shot down one rocket plane while taking about 8k damage all told. ![]() One battle in particular stood out - Tears of the Desert, spawned northwest next to only a CV and a Jutland. Massachusetts is a hugely solid AA platform to begin with, and I went into a couple battles ready to shred planes. ![]() Since respecs were free, I decided to kit out my Mass B for full AA spec since I was seeing a lot of double CV Tier X battles yesterday.
